Reporting to the Head of Demand Planning, the Demand Planner plays a critical role within the Supply Chain organization. The Demand Planner is responsible for generating an accurate 24-month rolling demand forecast for their assigned product categories using multiple data sources, including business trends and market insights. This role is central to the company's ability to achieve its financial targets by ensuring that UniFirst can meet customer needs while maintaining efficient inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze internal and external data sources to generate a rolling 24-month demand plan. Perform additional analysis to ensure demand plan accuracy on a regular basis.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and other functions to capture insights on changes in the business to include in the demand plan.
  • Present demand plan to key stakeholders, including assumptions utilized, risks and opportunities identified and comparisons to other key metrics. Achieve consensus across the organization, including senior leaders.
  • Partner with Supply Planning team on risks and opportunities in the demand plan to influence inventory planning activities.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning accuracy.
  • Attend and actively participate in supply chain meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on demand planning analysis.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Merchandise Planning or other Analytics fields.
  • Strong written, oral, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with a proficiency in data analysis tools (i.e. Excel, Power BI).
  • Passion for planning, forecasting, and problem-solving.
  • Understanding of S&OP and general Supply Chain processes.
  • Team player who collaborates with business units and functional partners at all levels.
  • Strong analytical mind, excellent business acumen and overall positive approach.
  • Experience with Demand Planning software a plus.
