
Automation Engineer Tech

2302615The Automation Engineer Tech will work with the Engineering Controls Team, to install and troubleshoot Control Systems. The Candidate will utilize their knowledge of Automated Control System including PLC, HMI, and Field Devices, and utilizes AutoCAD Drawings to deploy new control systems. The employee will travel to offsite locations to support and install PLC systems.
Job Detail:
- Troubleshoot, service, monitor, and deploy Automated Systems
- Install and terminate field wiring.
- Install, mount, and configure field devices.
- Reference and update AutoCAD drawings.
- Train operators and engineers on control systems.
- Travel to UniFirst Locations (up to 75%).
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Degree in a Technology Field or Equivalent Technical Training with job experience.
- Experience working with a PLC system: GE Fanuc, Rockwell, Siemens, etc
- Experience with control system networking and PC networking technology
- Experience working with AutoCAD, understanding of electrical schematics and circuitry.
- The individual will possess basic maintenance and electrical skills.
- Understanding of basic electrical wiring, mechanics, and safety.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, which includes the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and vendors.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction.
- Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed verbal and/or written instructions.
- Must possess the ability to hear, talk, see, and distinguish between colors.
