Health Physics Manager - UniTech
UniTech Services Group, Inc., the world leader in nuclear protective clothing, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual for the position of Corporate Health Physicist.UniTech’s core business is decontamination by nuclear laundry and industrial decontamination of tools and materials.UniTech maintains nine licensed facilities in the US, one in Canada, and three in Europe.
Primary duties include maintenance of 11 radioactive materials licenses throughout the US, facility audits to include regulatory and procedural compliance, program and procedural development, Class 7 transportation, and response to wide range of radiological and health physics issues related to waste water treatment and discharge, airborne radioactivity, specialized instrumentation and monitoring, knowledge of decommissioning and MARSSIM/MARSAME.The successful candidate will also support UniTech’s Canadian and European operations.
Candidates should possess a B.S. degree in a related field and have 5 years of experience in health physics.Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills are required.Certification by the American Board of Health Physics is preferred. Equivalent education, experience, and NRRPT will be evaluated. Additional considerations include:Knowledge of radioactive transportation regulations, OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001 and 14001, similar quality and environmental systems, procedure writing, statistics, and auditing.
Respondents must be able to travel domestically and internationally; approximately 30% and as needed.This is a full-time position and includes an excellent benefits package.
