.Net Engineer

The .Net engineer will participate on a scrum team as a technical expert in analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of existing UniFirst applications that are built using Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and maintenance for critical business systems
  • Work on application features through all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Develop and test software components using current industry tools and processes
  • Manages the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure compatibility issues based on systems architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations
  • Provide comprehensive consultation to product owner and other IT staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle
  • Work closely with local and distributed teams (both agile and non-agile)
  • Continually evaluate existing systems and processes and provide ideas for improvement

Qualifications
Experience - 
  • 4+ years of experience in C# Microsoft application development
  • Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Experience with continuous integration desired
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an agile environment is strongly desired
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently
  • Experience with mixed technology systems a plus (.Net and Classic ASP)
Education -
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
