Responsibilities

Responsible for developing plans, policies, and strategies to reach the overall sales goal of the Corporate Apparel Direct division. Responsible for hiring, training, and developing APSE and DSS reps to improve their overall effectiveness and performance. Nurture an environment that is positive and enthusiastic, while maintaining a results-driven organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed the Corporate Direct sales goal each year.
  • Maintain budgeted staffing levels, hires, trains, directs and coaches’ sales personnel to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and implement annual Sales Plan and submit quarterly goals with monthly updates on progress to the Vice President of Corporate Direct Sales and other designated recipients.
  • Responsible for attracting, interviewing, hiring and setting up the onboarding of new employees for sales, service and support.
  • Monitor salesperson’s activities, performance, and effectiveness weekly via Dynamics, team selling, sales funnel review sessions and take appropriate action.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the principles of Strategic Selling with a focus on Corporate Apparel Direct prospects.
  • Support the APSE’s and DSS reps in negotiating service scope, pricing, and other terms and conditions conducive to creating a long-term partnership.
  •  Insure a smooth account onboarding process through all market segments. Make sure new sales are transitioned to Account Executives in a way that sets them up for success with the customer.
  • Utilize team selling to get high, wide, and deep within our target accounts. Leverage your experience to coach the team members to get access to higher level decision makers to help facilitate the sale.
  • Work closely with General Manager’s and Regional Sales Managers to promote the Apparel Direct Division and ensure that UniFirst positions itself to improve the overall customer experience. Think of this additional service model as an upsell component to the customer’s entire program requirements.
  • Develop and coach the necessary skills and activity of all individual sales reps within Apparel Direct to exceed our annual goal. Use performance improvement plans where needed to correct poor performance.
  • Create a culture of results driven performance

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 7+ years of outside B2B sales experience in a service industry
  • 4+ years leading / managing sales people
  • Demonstrated track record of success including recognition through awards and promotions
  • Must be very proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
  • Experience selling large National Account Programs to committees and “C” level Executives
  • Ability to work autonomously at very high productivity levels
