UniFirst's Financial Reporting team is looking for a Financial Reporting Co-Op to join our team during the spring semester. As a member of the Financial Reporting team, you will assist with all aspects of the external reporting process including the preparation of our 10-Qs and other miscellaneous SEC filings.

Please note that this will be a hybrid position out of our corporate headquarters in Wilmington, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly Form 10-Q filings and quarterly earnings releases
  • Learn how our month end close process works and prepare monthly analyses and journal entries
  • Understand how generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices are integrated into the day-to-day business environment
  • Work with the Financial Reporting team on special projects and process improvements
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts
  • Learn about our culture and core values
  • Manage time effectively and efficiently to ensure assigned work is completed within established time frames
  • Assist in ad hoc technical accounting research, as needed

Qualifications
  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing an accounting or finance degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with technology
  • Must possess strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness and desire to learn and contribute to continuous improvement
