This role manages the planning support for IT Finance, budgeting, and partnering with IT PMO and SRO teams for projects. The role involves creating ARB governance around project delivery and implementing a standard delivery framework for strategic initiatives. 

Job detail:

•    Assists the OCITO with planning support for IT Finance.
•    Assists IT PMO & SRO for project related activities.
•    Leads ARB meetings working with IT PM’s and Tech Leads.
•    Partners to coordinate intake of new project requests. Manages and monitors data capture of all projects, resulting in consistent and complete records for all project and PLC artifacts.
•    Gather regular projects information from Jira and PMs.
•    Leads Project Lifecycle training for all new hires and PMs upon project assignment.
•    Orchestrates project transitions between PMs, as needed. 
•    Monitors the project portfolio to ensure compliance with the Project Lifecycle stage gates.
•    Owns the PMO cadence calendar (quarterly planning sessions, FinCom, Audit Reviews, quarterly/monthly status reporting publication).  Prepares all artifacts and agendas for governance meetings.  Owns follow-up actions and compliance.
•    Actively seeks feedback from PMO stakeholders on project management methodology and refines tools, templates, and methodologies for optimization.
•    Acts as a PMO tools subject matter expert, ensuring consistent and complete quality of all project data.
•    Provides senior leadership with quantifiable and qualitative data on project performance and PMO effectiveness (KPIs).
•    Mentors and coaches junior team members.


Qualifications

Experience:

•    5+ years’ experience working within a PMO organization, preferably in an IT or technology organization.
•    5 years’ experience as a Project Manager, managing technology projects through both agile and waterfall SDLC methodologies.
•    2-3 years hands-on Jira administration experience- configuring fields, workflows and managing add-ons.
•    Strong understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies and knowledge of how to apply the right methodology for the type of work. 
•    Results driven and strong focus on operational excellence.
•    Experience coaching and mentoring others in project management tools and methodology.
•    Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and collaboration skills with demonstrated experience tailoring messaging for audience (executives, technicians, PMs)
•    Displays confidence in executive level presentations.
•    Self-motivated and able to multi-task and prioritize independently.

Education:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or a technical discipline.
•    PMP certification or demonstrated progress towards obtained PMP certification preferred
•    Agile certification a plus (SAFe, CSM, CSPO, etc).
