Machine Technician - UniFirst First Aid + Safety

UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Associate to join our community. As a Machine Technician, you will set-up and maintain machines daily according to the demands of Production. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide on-the-floor support for Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) operations, ensuring work areas are maintained and job functions are performed safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, cGMPs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Set-up, operate, and trouble shoot machines when required.
• Make repairs and modifications to equipment as needed
• Tear down and clean machine according to SOP and production requirements.
• Perform scheduled maintenance of machines, accessories, and auxiliary equipment.
• Fill out all required paperwork completely and accurately.
• Perform other duties such as foil changes, removing waste rolls, and skids from suites when required.
• Perform tasks assigned in accordance with SOP requirements.
• Perform other duties as described by leadership. 

What we’re looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of vocational school or 5 years of relevant experience in related trade is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Ability to follow directions and pay attention to details of assignments.
• Must be detail-orientated.
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of machining tools, such as lathes, drill press, etc.
• Capacity to follow directions by leadership.
• Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
