UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and driven Market Manager – Specialty Markets to join our team. As a Market Manager in the Sales Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and expanding our business in the Pet First Aid, Ad Specialty, Outdoor First Aid, and Trauma markets. This role involves selling our full range of First Aid and medical products, including private-label offerings, while also developing and introducing new products tailored to these specialty markets. We offer a standard five-day workweek with two days off, on-the-job training, and an immediate opening with a dynamic and supportive team. What you’ll be doing:
- Market Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market presence in Pet First Aid, Ad Specialty, Outdoor First Aid, and Trauma industries.
- Call on large distributors, pet stores, veterinarian clinics, ad specialty companies, outdoor and survival stores, and manage online sales growth.
- Sales Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage independent sales groups tailored to each market.
- Provide strategic guidance and tools to enable sales teams to meet and exceed goals.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders in each market.
- Develop and execute client-specific strategies to foster long-term partnerships.
- Trade Show Representation:
- Represent the company at national and local industry shows and conferences.
- Drive lead generation efforts at events.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitive landscapes, and sales performance.
- Utilize analytics to create data-driven strategies for sales and marketing improvements.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within related markets.
- Proven success in managing diverse markets and building independent sales teams.
- Passion for expanding niche markets, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record in strategic business development.
- Knowledge of Pet First Aid, Ad Specialty, Outdoor Survival, or Trauma products is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to meet clients, manage sales teams, and attend trade shows.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
