2502774UniFirst Corporation’s Leadership Development team has an opening for a Talent Development Manager. The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing talent development strategies and programs that enhance leadership skills, performance, and engagement. This role leads training and development initiatives across the organization, aligning learning solutions with business goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities
● Lead and mentor a team of HR and talent development professionals to deliver high-quality talent development programs.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with department heads and key stakeholders to align talent strategies with organizational goals.
● Lead the strategy, design, and execution of company-wide learning and development programs to ensure a robust pipeline of high-potential leaders.
● Partner with key stakeholders to identify high-potential leaders and design personalized development plans.
● Assess organizational learning needs through surveys, interviews, performance metrics, and collaboration with leaders and HRBPs.
● Develop and deliver engaging training content through various modalities (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning, blended).
● Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using metrics, feedback, and performance outcomes; recommend and implement improvements.
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop role-specific competency models, career pathing frameworks, and development plans.
● Coach managers and employees on performance development, growth conversations, and internal mobility.
● Identify and partner with external vendors for specialized training and development services when needed.
● Certification in coaching, 360s, EI, MBTI, etc. preferred
Qualifications
Experience
● Minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading a team in talent development, organizational development, or a related field
● Proven experience designing and facilitating leadership and employee development programs.
● Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.
● Experience with LMS platforms and training evaluation methodologies (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model).
● Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities.
● Ability & willingness to travel 10-15% Travel
Education
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
