DevOps and MuleSoft Engineer

2604515We are seeking an experienced DevOps and MuleSoft Engineer to join our IT organization. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure as code on Microsoft Azure and GitHub, while also administering and supporting our MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform environments (CloudHub and on-premises) to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our integration solutions. This role combines strong DevOps engineering with hands-on integration platform expertise to build scalable, secure, and efficient architectures that connect systems, applications, and data across the organization.
Responsibilities:
CI/CD & Infrastructure Automation
• Design, build, and maintain YAML-based CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, PowerShell, and Terraform.
• Implement and manage source control, branching strategies, code reviews, and deployment triggers.
• Integrate Maven builds with Azure Pipelines for MuleSoft applications.
• Integrate automated testing (MUnit, Snyk) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and optimize build and deployment performance.
Cloud Platform & Governance
• Support platform services including compute, networking, storage, identity, and governance controls.
• Ensure DevOps best practices are adopted across projects and platforms.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies for both cloud and integration solutions.
MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform Administration
• Administer and manage the MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform, including CloudHub 2.0, hybrid on-premises clusters, Runtime Manager, and API Manager.
• Configure and manage AnyPoint Platform environments, business groups, and user access controls.
• Configure and maintain AnyPoint Platform security policies, client applications, and API access.
• Manage API contracts, policies, and SLA tiers in API Manager.
• Manage MuleSoft runtime versions and platform upgrades.
• Monitor platform health, performance metrics, and resource utilization.
Integration Design & Collaboration
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather integration and deployment requirements.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance integration solutions.
• Establish integration standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Work closely with cloud architects, platform engineers, security teams, and application developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, and integrations.
• Maintain documentation for DevOps and integration processes, APIs, and environments.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Minimum 4 years of experience building CI/CD pipelines as code using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform administration experience.
• Experience managing production cloud and MuleSoft environments in 24/7 operations.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft applications.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of MuleSoft AnyPoint Studio, API Manager, and related tools.
• Preferred: knowledge of Google Cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
- BS or MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect, MuleSoft Certified Developer, or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
• Familiarity with API-led connectivity and reusable integration frameworks.
• Experience supporting multi-team or enterprise-wide integration platforms.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices is a plus.
