2601991The Analyst I – AR Reporting & Data Analysis supports the Central AR Reporting team by preparing, validating, and analyzing Accounts Receivable data and standard reports. This role serves as an entry-level analyst position responsible for ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across routine AR reporting deliverables. The Analyst I partners with senior analysts, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to support cash flow management, reporting compliance, and operational insights through data analysis. This position provides foundational exposure to AR analytics, reporting systems, and financial controls, with opportunities to develop analytical, technical, and business communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly AR reports, including aging reports, cash application summaries, open item listings, and basic trend analysis.
- Assist in compiling quarterly and annual reporting deliverables under the guidance of senior analysts or the supervisor.
- Validate AR data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Support cash forecasting and cash flow analysis by providing AR data inputs and summary analytics (e.g., aging movement, delinquency trends).
- Assist with bad debt reserve analysis, write-offs, lost accounts, bankruptcies, and accrual support, as assigned.
- Perform routine data reconciliations between AR sub-ledgers, reporting tools, and general ledger outputs.
- Utilize accounting systems, reporting tools, and Excel to analyze large datasets and prepare standardized reporting outputs.
- Respond to internal data and reporting requests, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to reporting standards.
- Maintain documentation of reporting procedures, data sources, and process steps.
- Uphold data security, confidentiality, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Participate in team training, certifications, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Billing, Credit, Collections, and Finance to support AR reporting needs.
- Support audit requests and documentation gathering as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, accounting, finance, or data analysis (internship or relevant coursework acceptable).
- Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes, including billing, cash application, aging, and collections.
- A willingness to learn AR concepts, reporting methodologies, and internal controls.
- Experience working with financial or operational data and standard reports.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).
- Exposure to accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured reporting environment.
