Treasury Accountant

The Treasury Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to the company’s cash management, accounting, and associated accounts receivable. This position will work closely with other departments within the company such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax and audit as well as external banking partners. The individual will be responsible for performing the daily cash management activities of the company, ensuring adherence to internal audit and SOX requirements and acting as a primary liaison of cash management.

  • Reconcile bank deposits and A/R sub ledger accounts to the general ledger. Identify and research variances through a variety of channels
  • Verify cash transactions, investigate and propose resolution for any discrepancies
  • Prepare and post cash related journal entries to accounting system
  • Reconciliation of incoming credit card payments on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Various credit card analysis
  • Prepare, execute and record both wire and ACH transfers, ensuring accuracy, control & appropriate authorization
  • Record, evaluate and ensure accuracy of all bank fees
  • Participate in year-end audit with Sarbanes-Oxley evaluation and testing
  • Complete various month end and quarter end supporting schedules
  • Use cash management programs for various banks
  • Complete other ad hoc duties as requested

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in finance environment preferred
  • General Ledger accounting background
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle a plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual that is detail oriented with the ability to multi task and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning skills to think problems through and generate solutions
  • Strong work ethic
