
Policy and Compliance Specialist

2304494The Policy and Compliance Specialist will be an integral member of the Legal and Risk Team and will report to the Vice President of Legal Affairs. The position will take responsibility for the Company’s internal policies, providing key support to the organization in the areas of policy development, campaign formation and execution, research and organization. This position shall perform their job duties with the highest level of integrity and business and personal ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.
- Together with the Vice President of Legal Affairs, responsible for the Company’s internal policy process.
- Establish a structured compliance and policy plan for the Company, to include organizing, managing and communicating the Company’s internal policies to the business.
- Lead policy initiatives from conception to completion, including identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other parts of the business to assist with the creation of policies using clear and concise policy language.
- Create and present overview / summary of policy projects to various stakeholders.
- Educate and train other departments within the Company on the policy and procedures necessary to maintain compliance.
- Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the Company.
- Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by the Vice President Legal Affairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a positive, proactive and collaborative manner as the primary point of contact to support the organization’s needs.
- The ability to communicate complex issues and risks in terms colleagues can understand.
- Strong analytical and written skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and prioritize tasks.
- The ability to work in a highly autonomous role.
- Participate in and influence the decision-making process with appropriate stakeholders.
- Outstanding references.
