Plant Manager Trainee Position
UniFirst is currently seeking Plant Manager Trainees for our Plant Manager Development Program. This accelerated program is designed for individuals with leadership and management experience looking for a tremendous opportunity to achieve rapid career advancement. Upon completion of the 6-month training period at your local UniFirst production facility, you will have the opportunity to become a Plant Manager in one of over 200 locations nationwide (ability to relocate required). UniFirst offers full relocation packages to our managers taking that next level Plant Management role once training is completed.
This Plant Manager Trainee position will start out at $54,250. Once training is complete and the trainee moves to a new location, the expected salary range will be based on the geographic location you will be going to manage. The Plant Manager position is an integral leader within the UniFirst business unit. You will lead a team of over 40 people to help the business unit achieve its financial goals. Working closely with the General Manager on business planning, process improvements, safety initiatives, and employee relations improvements. You achieve results by getting the best out of your greatest asset, your people and you will have the opportunity to foster a culture of collaboration and quality.
A Plant Manager Trainee should be resilient, hardworking, goal oriented, honest, loyal, a self-starter, responsible, adaptable, possess a “can-do” attitude, and be a true problem solver.
- Has excellent communication skills
- Understands problem solving through root cause analysis
- Employs a supportive, collaborative management style
- 3-5 years in a managerial role
- Is a creative, “big picture” thinker who is not afraid of change
- Is innovative
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
- BA/BS required, business-related preferred.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer programs.
- Candidates must be willing to travel.
- Candidates must also be willing to relocate.
- Proven experience with training.
