Principal Functions and Responsibilities -

You will be reporting to the Production Manager, and will be responsible to maintain the HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) and ISO (9001:2015) programs already in place, by managing, writing, correcting, and updating all relevant documentation. Namely, you will have to: manage all non-conformities (active and preventative actions, reasons of variance...), notify the Production Manager of all deviations from standards, lead HACCP audits as well as ISO 9001:2015 quality system internal audits, participate in client audits and follow up on their requests.

You will participate and manage HACCP and ISO certification audits; you will be in charge of personal training, including technical training, to make sure employees are able to do their job adequately; you will be in charge of the development and implementation of the prerequisites and danger analysis programs (HACCP plan); and you will supervise the implementation and maintenance of the quality system management.
  • Supervise HACCP and ISO meetings as often as requested
  • Prepare Management Review's agenda
  • Carry out internal inspections of products in production lines
  • Follow up on customer complaints and prepare corrective actions
  • Take samples of the equipment and machinery surfaces as often as required and send them for lab analysis
  • Other related tasks

Qualifications
Qualifications -
  • Relevant HACCP training (certification is an asset)
  • Relevant ISO auditor training, or any relevant training (certification is an asset)
  • 1-2 years of experience as a HACCP and ISO coordinator or in quality insurance
  • Basic notions in food technology and microbiology
  • Understanding of HACCP principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Being able to prioritize, organize, and analyze
  • Being able to work under pressure, in a team, and being able to communicate orally and by writing preferably in both languages (French/English)
  • Demonstrate thoroughness, precision, and rigor
